Hi there! I'm jennifer
I'm a small town B.C. girl who discovered my love of photography 20 years ago, within the walls of Chilliwack Senior Secondary School's photography classroom. Photography held, and still holds, so much for me. It's a fascinating blend of raw honesty and the bold, unabashed search for beauty. It's believing that you can capture the intangible in two dimensions, and breathe life into it. It's pure magic. I was hooked the moment I stepped into the darkroom.
Soon after I graduated, I left Chilliwack, and life took me from Vancouver to New York and back again. I collected a Westie named Sprocket and my dynamo of a daughter, Harmony, along the way, and as I saw how quickly they were each growing and changing, I remembered the lessons I had learned all those years ago: that moments may be fleeting, but their beauty can be captured. And capture them, I did.
Shortly after moving back to Chilliwack almost two decades after I had left it, I invested in a professional camera and a litany of gorgeous lenses, that catapulted my love of photography from a hobby to a profession.
I take great pride in creating works of art for families throughout the Lower Mainland - images that don't just capture a moment, but all the hope, joy, and love that was poured into it. Together with my clients, I create cherished family heirlooms that will be passed down from generation to generation.
How I'm different
Experienced with children
Not only is there an art to taking beautiful photos, but there's an art to working with babies and children. My calm, patient demeanour soothes newborns, allowing me to capture beautiful images as they sleep, and my easygoing nature is relatable to kids of all ages.
Highest quality photo products
I take my role as your family's photographer seriously. Photographs are such a treasured piece of your history, and I put my heart and soul into creating the most beautiful, highest quality heirlooms possible.
BEAUTIFUL PROPS AND COSTUMES
One of my favourite parts of photographing newborns and young children is all the fun I get to have with the gorgeous props and intricate costumes I provide for my sessions. Do you have a little princess who would love to don a gown and a tiara? I've got her covered. How about a woodland fairy who needs a handmade vintage cape and wand? Send them my way!
A little about me
I'm so happy to be in a profession where I am able to both raise my daughter at home and maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate my clients. There are many perks to being a photographer, and the flexibility and ability to work from home is right up there!
CRAFTS & coffee
When I'm not playing with my daughter or snapping photos of my clients, you can find me curled up with a mug of coffee and my latest craft (usually knitting!).
My little sunshine
Not only is this little girl the light of my life, she's my muse and ever-patient model. (Okay, well maybe not that patient). I love nothing more than exploring the valley with her, taking photos of our adventures along the way.
